The release of the comedy-drama film “Almost Christmas” is approaching. I’m sure you all are anxious to see it just as much as I am.  Based upon the movie trailers I have caught online and during commercial breaks, I know this will be a nonstop laughing matter in theaters.  If you have somehow missed the various sneak peeks online and television click the link below to get a good laugh for the day.

As you can see, the film has a star-studded cast of many of our favorites such as Kimberly Elise, Danny Glover, Mo’Nique, JB Smoove, Gabrielle Union, Omar Epps, Nicole Ari Parker, and Jessie T.

The film has a great message which is the joy of being around family during the holidays. You may get the good and some bad however the memories are always great. Getting the entire family together for the holidays can be difficult especially if you have family members who live in different states. However, if you are able to get your family together for the holidays it is always a great time. I know with my family we always create new memories and have an overall great time. I truly love how my family members work their magic to get together for the holidays as we truly love spending time together. It’s always nothing but laughs, dance moves, old stories and good food. Can’t wait to spend time with my family this year for the holidays!

Courtesy of the Bella Kinks Natural Hair Expo, I will be selecting three lucky winners to attend the pre-screening of Almost Christmas this Thursday in Dallas, Texas.  Please share your Christmas memories with your family below to enter to win tickets!!! If you have any questions, please feel free to email me!

Happy Holidays and Good Luck!

A vivid Christmas memory I have is one from when I was about 7 or 8 years old. Me and my older brother had been little mischievous children that year and my parents decided to teach us a lesson. They set out all the wrapped presents the night before with our names on them so naturally we were excited to wake Christmas morning to tear into our gifts. So Christmas morning comes, we wake up and sing down the hallway to the Christmas tree in the living room only to find that all our presents were gone. The only presents under the tree belonged to my baby brother who was one year old at the time lol. We were so upset and ran to the room. My mother came back to tell us that santa had heard about all the naughty things we had said and done and decided to take our gifts back but if we promise to be good then he may let us have them. So in the end we got our gifts but the messed up part is that they filmed the whole charade so 20 years later it’s all on tape smh.

Hmmm I don’t have necessarily just one memory but, Christmas has always been a time where all the warm fuzzy feelings come back to my stomach. Remembering my mom putting up the decorations. Decorating the tree and pulling out old ornaments placing them on different branches. Trying to guess which gifts were mine and what they were. Making cookies for santa not realizing my dad was santa the whole time. Helping my mom in the kitchen cooking up all the good southern food for the actual day. Coming home from college every year and walking and seeing my whole family in this warm house laughing and cracking jokes. Christmas has to be my favorite time of the year. Not for the gifts and not just to show rememberence of our man Jesus, but because of that warm fuzzy feeling I get each year like clockwork
